Baby of Manisha is a 36-week-old female newborn, weighing 2.7 kg, who was admitted to Girraj Ji Children Hospital, Gurugram in a critical condition. She had a delayed cry after birth and soon developed severe respiratory distress with dangerously low oxygen saturation. She required immediate intubation and intensive medical care.

Doctors have diagnosed her with respiratory distress and respiratory failure, perinatal asphyxia (HIE Stage 3), pulmonary hypertension, right-ventricular systolic dysfunction, hypoglycemia and septic shock. Her condition has required mechanical ventilation, high-flow oxygen support, medicines, antibiotics and continuous NICU monitoring.

🏥 Her Treatment So Far

According to the hospital case summary, Baby of Manisha was initially placed on mechanical ventilation and later extubated on the 6th day of life. She continues to require HHHFNC oxygen support to maintain her oxygen saturation.

She has also received treatment for:

• Severe respiratory distress and respiratory failure

• Hypoglycemia
• Seizure-like episodes and cerebral dysfunction
